Four people have been found guilty by the Assin Fosu Magistrate Court, presided over by His Worship Abdul Majid Iliasu, about an assault on a 16-year-old child who had been tortured over a missing GHC4,000.

Constance Aboagye, also known as Abena Mansa, the primary suspect, was fined GHC3,600 or 300 punishment units.

The other conspirators, Bright Oduro, Kofi Acquah, and Prince Ntiamoah, were each fined 200 penalty units, or GHC 2,400, which they must pay or face a 10-month prison sentence in default.

Peter Donkor, one of the suspects who entered a not-guilty plea, has been given bail and is scheduled to appear again on January 3, 2023.

The victim was falsely accused of robbing $4000 from Abena Mansa, a woman who shares an apartment with the victim in Assin Adiembra.

The victim’s father told Adom News that his son was tortured while having his hand tied to his back and numerous plastic chairs.

Surprisingly, the woman who said her $4,000.00 was gone called the victim’s father the next day, said she had located the money in her room, and pleaded with him to pardon her.
